Pilates in Tuscany, Italy
Pilates at Lavacchio gives you the opportunity to practise Pilates daily while also getting the chance to relax and recharge your batteries. Here at Col di Lavacchio we combine the stunning Tuscan countryside, organic cuisine, a saltwater swimming pool with meandering gardens in which to relax. There is massage and reflexology on request. Numbers are limited to ensure individual attention and to maintain an atmosphere of complete tranquillity.
One of the highlights of any trip to Tuscany is the food and so it proves here. The menu for the week has been devised to make best use of the organic produce available and to complement the Pilates with sensational flavours and inspiring combinations.
A typical daily menu includes:
Breakfast: Homemade granola, yoghurt, fresh fruit and Lavacchio honey; eggs; homemade bread and an assortment of jams. Coffee, tea, fruit juice or infusions.
Lunch: Spelt salad with roast vegetables and harissa, bread, fruit, cheese, chocolate brownie, muffin
Dinner: Amuse bouche/canapes; Beetroot risotto with herb ricotta; Lemon tart with mixed red berries
Local wines are served with dinner
There is a mini bar available with a range of drinks, savoury and sweet snacks.
All dietary requirements can be taken into account.

There are three different sessions of Pilates during the day.
Wake Up Stretch: We start at the civilised time of 8.00 am for our early morning stretch on the lawn overlooking the Garfagnana Hills.
Morning Class: After a healthy breakfast, the morning is spent practising Pilates to help broaden and deepen your knowledge and improve your Pilates practise.
Evening Session: This takes place before dinner and is restorative, focusing on stretching and relaxation. The afternoons are yours to relax, read, paint, swim or whatever you feel like. If you love walking, the Garfagnana hills are on your doorstep and there will be some guided walking if you wish. Your diet for the week is designed to be delicious, healthy and balanced and all the produce is locally produced, much of it comes from the farm itself. All dietary requirements can be accommodated. Wine with dinner is included.
