Jemima Croker Yoga Retreats”

I am inviting you to take a week to consciously reconnect with nature and allow the expansiveness and stillness of the mountain range to elevate you out of the repetition of daily habits, internal and external. I will provide different yogic practices, taking you deep into your body so your mind can rest and you can fully relax. I will offer massage and there is also a local therapist who is fabulous – reiki, reflexology, the works. The rest of the time, you can walk in the mountains, around the garden, make use of the shala, swim, read, draw, write, be as you like!

I will teach an invigorating practice in the mornings, 90 minutes of asana (physical postures) followed by 30 minutes pranayama (the art of breathing). In the afternoons we will work slower, going deeper into the body, mind and self using a wider scope of yogic practices such as restorative asana, pranayama, bandha, kriya, and meditation.

Food will be vegetarian, organic and very healthy. I can only advise against drinking alcohol when practicing yoga in the mornings, but this is Italy (!) and the week is to be spent as you wish, so there will be wine available in the evenings. We will take one afternoon off mid week so you can explore Lucca, go to the beach, spend as you like. Dinner is not provided on this day only.

“I stayed there for my yoga retreat. Lavacchio is located in an extremely scenic and peaceful place in the Tuscan mountains. The property has all the mod cons you can wish for and is nicely decorated. The surroundings are breathtaking and it is very easy to go trekking in the mountains. If you prefer to relax there is a swimming pool in the middle of beautiful gardens. The meals were provided and prepared by a chef with produce from the organic farm and they were delicious!  I must not forget to mention how welcoming, helpful and friendly the owners Ailsa and Jamie are. The last dinner was hosted in their house and no need to say the meal was amazing again and the company excellent!” Christel
